William "Bill" T. Gaudry, Jr. passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026 surrounded by family. Bill was born on April 1, 1948 in Charleston, South Carolina to William Thomas Gaudry, Sr and Harriet Conneff Gaudry. As a toddler, his family moved back to their hometown of Savannah, Georgia. He lived in Ardsley Park with his brother Lawrence "Larry" Edward Gaudry, Sr, his sisters Kathy Cliett, Jan Welsh, Mary Ann Gaudry and Tina Lales. 

He was married to Maureen Pacifici for 16 years and had three daughters, Kellie Gaudry Garmany, Wendy Anne Gaudry, Jennifer Gaudry Wilson, and his “adopted” daughter Cassie Wrightson. His greatest achievement, however, was his granddaughters; Eason Maureen Garmany, Annie Ione Garmany, and Margaret “Maggie” Luciel Wilson. 

Bill, also known as Poppie and Billy to the lucky ones, was a larger than life figure. He attended St. John Vianney Minor Seminary, Benedictine Military School, and Armstrong State University. Everyone who knew Billy, knows the pride he took in his family and his work from a very young age. He always did everything for his girls. Following in his father’s footsteps, Billy worked in furniture contracting and hospitality design, successfully completing many projects in the Bahamas, Florida, the Carolinas and other states around the country. He loved his career and made many lifelong friends through his work.

More importantly, Billy loved his friends and family. His house in Gulfport, FL was always filled with the joyful chatter and laughter of his daughters, granddaughters, nieces, nephews and anyone else who enjoyed swimming in the pool, grilling on the barbecue, and singing along to Jimmy Buffett. He would never miss a birthday and always had a story to tell. If you couldn’t find Billy traveling for work or by the pool, he was cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs with a cigar in hand and fellow fans by his side. His generosity knew no bounds. Billy was a good man and an All-American Patriarch who put his family and faith above all else.

In his final chapter, Billy spent his time doing all of his favorite things with his granddaughter, Eason Garmany, and Jake Lee.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents Harriet Conneff Gaudry and William Thomas Gaudry Sr, his brother, Larry Gaudry, and his son-in-law, Wylly Garmany. He leaves behind his daughters, granddaughters, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, Jake Lee, Pete Wilson, and his many friends.

The family wish to thank Sherwin and Sara Robin, Dr. Nizar Eskandar, Dr. Warren Abel, the Mayo Clinic, and the many nurses who helped him along the way.

A visitation will be held Sunday, September 27, 2026 at Fox and Weeks Hodgson Chapel from 3:00 to 5:00pm followed by a Rosary at 5:00pm.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 1:30pm, followed by a burial at Greenwich Cemetery.

The Pallbearers are Jody Gessow, Sherwin Robin, Jake Lee and Joseph Welsh, Jr., Arthur King, Thomas Powers, Joseph Powers, and William Edward Gaudry Cliett.
